The tie to engagement looks deliberate to us. CSR programs can be owned by various areas in a business. There’s corporate philanthropy, which doesn’t usually roll out enterprise-wide tech, employee communications/relations which normally fits CSR programs into more broad categories for employee programs, and even benefits where these programs can sometimes have a tie to wellness of various sorts. Messaging the tie to engagement pulls CSR into the employee experience and culture discussion, however we’re not sure if that will stick.
